Typical Patient Experience
At CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital, our goal is to help you return to a productive and fulfilling life. That means working with you to regain strength and the highest degree of functionality and independence possible.
What can you expect?
CarePartners inpatients must be able to participate in at least three hours of rehabilitation activities, five days per week. Your specific therapeutic activities will be based on your individual rehabilitation goals, and will change as you make progress.
For most patients therapy starts first thing in the morning, as you get ready for your day. Your rehabilitation nurse or occupational therapist will help you with “Activities of Daily Living,” or ADLs, which include getting dressed, grooming and having breakfast. Afternoon and evening sessions will follow, with breaks in between to rest and eat. Therapies include activities to improve your strength, mobility, self-care and cognitive skills.
